Looks like Tom Brady has a superstar friend standing behind him.
Brady has been making the gossip sites lately. Page six, TMZ, you know them. Joe also suspects that Brady makes the Hollywood Syndicate’s weekday TV shows. Joe hasn’t watched it since Rob Gronkowski retired, so those shows suddenly had less of a reason to feature Gronk’s girlfriend, model and TV personality Camille Kostek.
But this is what happens when your quarterback is an international superstar. Just today, Brady explained how all his Super Bowl rings are on display at an exhibition of the World Cup fan center in Qatar.
(And yes, Brady is a huge if not the main reason the NFL selected the Bucs to play in the first game of the NFL season in Munich in November. The krauts know who Brady is, they don’t necessarily know Kyle Trask or Blaine Gabbert.)
The latest news in the tabloids, of course, is the reported tension Brady’s wife, model Gisele Bündchen, has about Brady not retiring and playing another season for the Bucs. And Joe happened to come across a story on his Twitter feed claiming that Brady took his oldest son and his mother, actress Bridget Moynahan, to the Bahamas when Brady was taking an 11-day vacation from Bucs’ training camp.
Whatever. Joe really doesn’t care who Brady takes on his tropical vacations. As for Brady playing football, who did Gisele think she married, Eddie Vedder? Soccer players play football (as long as their bodies and Father Time allow it).
In any case, a superstar and a man who has more titles than Brady has recently put on Twitter and has Brady’s back.
“The Nature Boy,” wrestling champion Ric Flair, was on social media and had strong words for those poking around Brady’s private life: back off, Flair typed. Let the man live and play quarterback for the Bucs.
In fact, Flair, a very public figure, wagged his tail at the self-proclaimed world leader to reject Brady.
This warms Joe’s heart. It’s good to see a man with many belts defending a man with many rings.
This and Flair gives Mike Evans crazy respect tells Joe that Flair keeps a close eye on the Bucs (and maybe reads JoeBucsFan.com too).
I would recommend EVERYONE to get out @TomBrady‘s ass and cheer him on!! His personal life is his business!! NOT YOURS! To judge, comment or laugh, you all look bad!!! So disrespectful @espn! He’s the GOAT! pic.twitter.com/UzvnQcFHOx
