Daejeon O-World, a fantasy world revived with cutting-edge science and technology that pioneered VR for the first time in the Republic of Korea

DAEJEON, South Korea, September 23, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — O-World, a theme park in Daejeon, South Korea, has just built ‘Night Universe’, which uses advanced digital lighting, and presents a science theme park that combines science with Daejeon’s urban identity. It is a media art and content theme park that uses the latest digital media technology to provide an array of sights and entertainment by creating a distinctive nighttime viewing area.

To create a fascinating night scene, ‘Bloemenland’ uses state-of-the-art lighting such as LEDs and unique stories. In addition, “Night Universe”, a theme park that uses O-World’s digital communication technology, is the first of its kind among Korean theme parks to offer various services using advanced communication technology, such as Korea’s first VR safari experience, metaverse VR healing service and AR stamp tour.

The existing Daejeon O-World originated in nature and is a theme park where the whole family can enjoy the combined ‘Zoo Land + Flower Land + Joy Land‘. Consisting of three theme parks, it aims to provide tourists with more efficient, experiential activities. Each new flower and water themed garden is complemented by a landscape where visitors can experience a beautiful festival of lights, a feast for the five senses.

Within O-World there are basic information desks, restrooms and restaurant corners where visitors can relax and enjoy a variety of meals. It offers visitors the fun and convenience of a newborn stroller rental, a nursing/diaper change facility, a lost and found shelter, pet storage, luggage storage, and disability medical services.

‘Joy Land’ offers 19 different types of rides, including thrill rides, family rides, kiddie rides and special adventures, as well as a four-season sledding hill. Bird Land is a place to see and see unique birds and parrots, while Flower Land has 26 themed amenities, including a secluded plaza and open-air theater.

The Sound Garden, where visitors can see and hear the vibrations and sounds of flowers and branches created by the force of the wind while walking through the garden, offers a time of healing in nature. In ‘Bloemenland’ there are rest areas such as waterside terraces and observation decks where visitors can enjoy comfortable leisure time and pleasant viewing.
