‘Southern Charm’ Finale ‘Changed’ Cast Friendship

Get real! Leva Bonaparte is not on the best of terms with all of her Southern charm costars after the explosive finale of season 8.

“[That evening] our friendship changed drastically,” Leva, 43, told exclusively Us Weekly about her outburst fight with Craig Conoverbroadcast on Thursday, September 29. “It changed my friendship drastically with Craig and many of the cast members, immediately.”

During the Thursday final of the Bravo series, Leva reached her breaking point with Craig — and several other castmates — while attending the Sewing Down South holiday party.

Co-owner of the Republic showed her frustration towards Craig33, after she heard that he banished his ex-girlfriend Naomie Olindo to a non-cast table for his event. “I literally can’t [do this] no more,” Leva told Naomie, 30, over dinner.

“I don’t even know why I’m friends with some people,” she added, seemingly referring to Craig and his crew. “So damn toxic.” Leva previously expressed her problems with the native of Delaware after he called Naomie’s “crazy ex-girlfriend” on their Friendsgiving.

“All season [you could see] that Craig spoke in a really aggressive way, like, [there’s] just a lot of emotion. He’s a little incapable of navigating it himself,” she explained to U.S this month. “I’m obviously naturally protective of Naomie. She’s like a little sister [to me] and he’s like a little brotheryou know?”

Leva noted that Craig has “great feelings” but she confessed that he needs better “boundaries” when speaking to others, especially she and Naomie.

“I also don’t like being called names and I think Naomie doesn’t like that either,” says the… Southern Charm: Leva Land star continued. “I don’t let my husband talk to me like that, [and I’m] sure as hell I won’t let Craig talk to me like that.’

Things escalated during the finale when Craig heard Leva talking to some of his Sewing Down South colleagues, many of whom she’s known for years. The Pillow talk author crossed a line in Leva’s eyes when he yelled at her and eventually tried to kick her out of the event.

“I basically just went there to have my own conversation and say, ‘You know, I love you dearly. I don’t know what’s happening tonight… what’s… [going on] between me and Craig isn’t — don’t take that personally,” she recalls U.S about the incident. “I don’t know how that turned into something else, but it did.”

When the two went head to head, Leva explained that Craig’s reaction was “not okay” with her. During the fight, the restaurateur recalled seeing some of her costars throw fuel on the fire. that’s why she unfollowed many castmates on social media in December 2021.

“I’ve lost respect for some of the people who pile up, especially the women. I’m not one to yell at women, I just don’t. So those who supported him and applauded him and stuff, I unfollowed those girls,” Leva said. U.S. “And then austen [Kroll] didn’t clap, but I was just disappointed because I felt like Austen could have brought him in and he didn’t. He was quiet.”

The Bourbon N’ Bubbles co-owner revealed that not all of her friendships were affected by the party drama, pointing to Naomie, Olivia Flowers, Taylor Ann Green and Shep Rose as one of its allies. “I think they all have my back,” she said.

When it comes to Craig specifically, the Indian native recounted: U.S that the finale “really changed the nature of the friendship.” Leva teased that fans will have to watch the season 8 reunion next month to see how broken the dynamic between her and Craig has become.

She added that although she is “rooting for Craig when he’s not for himself” and she “really loves that kid,” she felt disrespected over the holidays. Leva concluded that the “reunion is very, very raw” and has “a lot of crying”.
