The official website for the Miku and anime U35s Shinka no Mi ~ Shiranai Uchi ni Kachigumi Jinsei ~ (The Fruit of Evolution: Before I knew it, my life had made it) light novel series revealed more details for The Fruit of Evolution: Before I Knew It, My Life Had Made It Season 2 (Shin Shinka no Mi ~ Shiranai Uchi ni Kachigumi Jinsei ~) continued anime on Thursday. The website debuted the anime’s second promotional video, detailing additional cast members, the opening and ending songs, and the anime’s January 13 premiere.
The newly announced cast members include (Note: Romanizations of character names are not official):
Tomokazu Sugita and Miyuki Sawashiro will join the cast as new characters Vitor and Destra, respectively.
Nano will perform the opening track “Evolution”, and Erii Yamazaki will perform the ending song “Adore Me”.
The anime will premiere in Japan on TV Tokyo on January 13 at 1:23 a.m. JST, and on BS-TV Tokyo on January 16 at 12:30 PM JST. The anime is also streaming on the dAnime Store and other services in Japan.
The previous director Yoshiaki Okumura is now the chief executive, with Shige Fukase (That time I was reincarnated as slime episode director) as the new director. Iroha Mitsuki and Nobuhide Hayashi are replacing the new character designers Minami Eda. Hiroyasu Yano, Arisa Okehazamaand Yuki Saito are replacing the new composers Asuka Ogura, Hideyuki Gushimiyagiand sky_delta. HoriPro is credited for music support. CSPG is credited for wallpapers. Mikihiro Harabe is the new art director, replacing Seo Gu Lee. Stay lucky is credited for the casting. Hisashi Muramatsu is the new sound director, replacing Ryō Tanaka.
The “animal fantasy” story of The evolution fruit: Before I knew it, my life had made it! centers on Seiichi Hiiragi. Although he is at the bottom of his school’s social pecking order, he and his entire school are turned upside down when everyone at school is transported to another world. Finding himself alone, Seiichi is approached by a gorilla, who instead of attacking him, proposes. Just when Seiichi thinks, “I think a gorilla is good too,” they find the Fruit of Evolution, and when they eat it, their lives suddenly change again.
Michu started serialize the story on the website “Shōsetsuka ni Narō” (Let’s become novelists) in January 2014, where it is still ongoing. FutabashaMonster Bunko’s light novel label began publishing the novel in print in September 2014, featuring illustrations by U35 (Lapis Re:Lights, Aquatope of white sand character designs).
Hanashi Mediaa new US-based publisher of manga and light novels, has licensed the series of light novels in English and Spanish.
Sorano launched a manga adaptation of the novels op Futabashas Web comic action manga website in September 2017.
The novels inspired an earlier anime television series which premiered in October 2021 and had 12 episodes. Crunchyrol streamed the series as it aired.
